Design

As a child, I saw the world through forms, images, scents, and colors. To me, everything had the potential to become more beautiful, and I felt a quiet calling to bring beauty to life.

In 1990, I started at the Dutch Art Academy, faculty of Fine Arts and Design, where I graduated as a Graphic Designer and drawing and painting teacher. During my studies, I discovered my love for life drawing, an honest, direct form of expression that deeply moved me and made me feel free.

From 1997 onwards, I worked as an independent Graphic Designer/Art Director within my own design agencies. Together with fellow creatives, I designed a wide range of spatial, graphic, and multimedia projects. From government communications to exhibition concepts, from museum branding to campaigns for non-profit organizations and multinationals. Conceptual thinking and translating ideas into visuals were my strengths. But deep inside, a longing began to grow for more personal, intuitive creation.

In the meantime I have a lot of experience as a Graphic Designer/Art Director, but also in internal and external communication, online marketing, the 'market' and customer contact. Almost everything has been reviewed in terms of designing logos, house styles, websites, action-driven campaigns, (re-)branding, magazines, books, annual reports, etc. But every new design is and remains a challenge for me, creativity always flows through my veins.

I like to share some beautiful projects with the world:
